1. Create a new document.
2. Select the Custom Shape Tools then size and shape the heart as you wish and then fill it with
red (of course, if you want to use other color, feel free to do it).
3. Now right click the heart layer and select Blending Options and use these settings:
4. Now select the Eliptical Marquee Tool and select an area like in the picture below.
5. Apply a Gradient effect, with these settings:(just remember that if you used another color and not red, use that color for the gradient)
6. Select another area and apply the same gradient settings.
7. And you’re done. Here is my result.
